The Adelaide Hills Division of General Practice has been successful in obtaining funding through the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing’s “Healthy Active Australia Community and Schools Grants Program called “Hills Schools HealthCreate Project”
The project will target primary school students (particularly year 5’s) and their families in the Mt Barker area, with the overall aim to build a school and community vision of positive lifestyle, with a particular focus on improved nutrition and increased physical activity.
The project will also identify and develop links between schools and health services, including facilitation of access to health professionals to assist with health promotion activities.
If you require any further information regarding this project or would like to be involved, please contact either Sara Manser or Jane Barnett at the Division.
